Welcome to Cowboy Photography! I’m James Deppa, a photographer for over 10 years. I feel in love with photography for the way I am able to capture those unique shots in the moment of the action. Through the years, I have discovered how much I enjoy bringing photographs that are natural with little to no editing to them. This way you get what you see and the beauty that you are accustom to seeing every day.
This has created the philosophy in my photography of bringing out the natural beauty. This allows to enjoying a wide variety types of photography from wildlife, landscape, action, floral to enjoying weddings and portraits. It keeps me learning how to photograph things in different ways, lighting and techniques. Yet, through all this being able to keep it simple so that I can bring out the natural beauty in my photography.
A cowboy, I have always wanted to be. So, the concept of keeping things simple, learning and bringing out the natural beauty in photography has brought me to the idea of how cowboys keep things simple, willingness adapt and enjoy things the way they are. Therefore, combining the two Cowboy Photography was created.
Cowboy Photography philosophy allows me to get to know my clients and their needs, learn about locations and provide a service that one is comfort, fun and a good time. It has given me the opportunity to have photographs submitted to National Geographic for nature photo of the year, official photographer for the MN Storm, a semipro football team, for 2 years, photograph at several professional recording artist concerts and sporting events, official photograph for a fashion show, photographer for a couple brand new restaurants to get them going, plus numerous other opportunities.
